Keeneland
Race Track got a major facelift this year - a new
high-tech racing surface. Polytrack, made primarily
of rubber scraps and other discarded industrial
materials, was installed over the summer. Along with
widened turns, a longer stretch, modern safety rails,
a new tote board, and scores of other improvements,
Keeneland opened its 70th racing season with one of
the safest racing surfaces available. This one-hour
documentary was produced by G. D. Hieronymus,;
videotaped and edited by Jeremy Krintz, both of
Keeneland; post-production by Neil Kesterson of
Dynamix Productions; and narrated by NBC sportscaster
Tom Hammond.
